Volunteer Opportunities

Team Manager or Coach
Being a manager or coach requires time, patience, and basic knowledge of the game of baseball. You must attend mandatory manager/coach meetings (e.g., Positive Coaching Alliance, coaching clinics, player evaluations, drafts, and league orientation meetings).

Managers also need to communicate regularly with parents/guardians to promote active participation at games, practices, and League events.

All Managers/Coaches must register online and complete a background check.  For additional information, contact Kelly Durand (VP, Softball), Ray Porreca (VP, Baseball), or Steve Glazier (Challenger Program Coordinator).

Helping with Field Maintenance
Cheltenham Little League is an all-volunteer organization.  Maintaining safe, high-quality fields and grounds is a source of pride within our organization, but it takes a lot of hard work.  You can pitch in at our Complex Preparation Days (in March, June, and November) or become part of the Maintenance Committee.

Our Maintenance Committee works Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons - spend an hour helping out or more time if you can.  You can register online to participate in this critical work.

Snack Stand Volunteers

We are rated #1 in the area!  Our guests come hungry for our delicious hot dogs, pretzels, french fries and drinks!  We need help with cooking and serving.  Assistance is also needed to help clean up after the games.

If you want to put on an apron and join the fun register online.

Best Seat in the House - Become a Volunteer Umpire

We need umpires for all of our games for players 9-12.  You can register online to serve as a volunteer umpire.

For more information, visit our Umpire Room or contact the James Smith (Umpire-in-Chief)

Pancake Breakfast

Calling all waiters/waitresses.  Novice or Experienced.  This is a big fundraiser for Cheltenham Little League and enlists the efforts of our older players working along side our volunteers.  It is generally a one time, half-day comittment.  Click here to volunteer.
